Every application for membership shall be made in the application form duly proposed and seconded. Both the proposer and the seconder shall be Voting Members.

An application for membership duly investigated upon shall be posted on the Notice Board for 14 days after which shall be submitted to the General Committee for decision.
3.
The General Committee may accept or reject any application for membership without having to assign any reason therefor.
Types of Memberships
1.
The membership of the Association shall consist of Life Members, Ordinary Members, Junior Members, Associate Members and Temporary Members.
2.
All Malaysian citizens of Chinese descent who have attained the age of 18 years my apply to be Life Members or Ordinary Members of the Association.
3.
All Malaysian citizens of Chinese descent who have not attained the age of 18 years his/her parent or legal guardian my apply on his/her behalf to be Junior Members of the Association.
4.
Individuals other than those mentioned in Sub-Rules 2 and 3 above may apply to be Temporary Members or Associate Members of the Association.
5.
Associate Members consist of Junior Associate Members and Adult Associate Members, those who have not attained the age of 18 years are Junior Associate Members and those who have attained the age of 18 year are adult Associate Members.
Privileges
1.
Except otherwise provided in these Rules all members shall enjoy all privileges of membership of the Associaiton.
2.
Voting Members (?) shall be entitled to vote, and be voted at General Meetings of the Associaiton.
3.
Members who are not Voting Members shall be entitled to speak but not to vote at General Meetings of the Association.
4.
Life and Ordinary Members below the age of 18 years, Associate Members and Temporary Members shall not be entitled to be present at General Meetings of the Association.

Note : "Voting Members" means Life or Ordinary Members who have attained the age of 21 years and of two(2) years or more standing.
Subscriptions
1.
A Life Member shall pay an entrance fee of Ringgit ONE THOUSAND ($1,000-00) only on admission and thereafter be exempted from payment of annual subscriptions. The named spouse of a Life Member shall be a privileged member and shall enjoy all benefits provided by the Association. On the demise of a Life Member his/her named spouse shall subject to those Rules succeed as Life Member of the Association. Children of a Life Member below the age of 18 years shall enjoy the benefit of Junior membership of the Association.
2.
An Ordinary Member and Adult Associate Member shall pay an entrance fee of Ringgit FIFTY ($50-00) only and an annual subscription of Ringgit SIXTY ($60-00) only.
3.
A Junior Member and a Junior Associate Member shall pay an entrance fee of Ringgit TWENTY-FIVE ($25-00) only and an annual subscription of Ringgit thirty ($30-00) only.
4.
A Temporary Member shall pay an entrance fee not exceeding Ringgit FVE ($5-00) only as the General Committee may determine from time to time. A Temporary Member shall not be required to pay any subscription.
5.
(5) Annual subscription shall be paid in full before 31st March each year.
